A PRETTY music student who used sunbeds has died after a two-year battle with skin cancer.
Fair-skinned Alexandra Lines, 22, was diagnosed with malignant melanoma after a doctor examined a mole.
But the cancer had not been spotted in time.
Alexandra, of Romford, Essex, died with parents John, 55, and Jennifer, 56, at her side.
John said: “We are devastated. Our daughter did cover up in the
sun because she did get burnt. She also used sunbeds and we don’t know
if this was a factor.”
A recent study by Cancer Research UK revealed sunbathing can double the risk of skin cancer.
