The World Falls for It

First there was Atkins, then Cambridge, then Diet Patches, then Atkins again, then the return of the Diet Patches, and now get this - all you have to do is put a few little herbal pills under your tongue, and your "cellulite is gone."

When will the FDA or the FTC step in to rid our drug store and health-food store shelves of fraud artists?

Just as the world is trying to forget the Dr. Di Bella quack cure for cancer, this product explodes on the market. It's the invention of a Dr. Gianfranco Merrizi, who is not actually a doctor at all, but he's a swinging apothecary from Italy, who knows the 1992 Italian women who entered a beauty contest. They say that he tested the crap for 8 weeks at the Pavia University Hospital's Dermatological Clinic. I guess that makes him the world's expert on cellulite, doesn't it?

So off to Australia it went, into the ready hands of Dr. Graham Malouf. He is excited at the fat wallet he gets from selling the stuff. Gee whiz, folks this stuff is amazing!!!

The active ingredients in the stuff are: dried Ginkgo Biloba extract, dried sweet clover extract, Grape Seed Bioflavonoids, dried Fucus Vesiculosus extract, Evening Primrose Oil, Soya Lecithin combined with natural fish oil. There is absolutely no evidence that any of these ingredients work, and the fucus vesiculosus crap was the subject of a huge scandal about a decade ago, in regards to the Diet patch. It's amazing how much gall these people have.
